Grand Montecito offers Memory Care services for those living with Alzheimer’s’ and other memory loss conditions. At Grand Montecito, we also plan fun events and activities. From ice cream socials with a real old-fashioned ice cream truck parked outside to flower arranging, baking classes, arts and crafts, and so much more. All classes are tailored to the unique needs of each resident.

Frontier Senior Living’s award-winning Spark® program is precisely that!

Spark® is a research-based program inspired by the teachings and research of Maria Montessori and Dr. Cameron Camp, which focuses on giving residents meaningful ways to feel needed and be productive. We use tailor-fit assessment tools to evaluate each resident’s capabilities and strengths so that the program can best meet their needs.

The Four Pillars of the Frontier Spark® Program 

The effectiveness and success of our Spark® program for Memory Care Residents is based on 4 foundational pillars.

• Social: We ensure that each resident has a role in the community that allows them to interact with others.
• Skills Focused: Our Montessori Assessment Tool uncovers remaining skills often missed by traditional evaluations.
• Procedural Memory: Skills can be learned and even improved through repetitive “procedural learning,” which allows residents to perform routine activities with less concerted effort.
• Progression & Goal Setting: Residents who work on projects or learn new things over a period of time with a set goal in mind feel more engaged and successful.

Whether you or your loved one requires some help with the activities of daily living (ADLs), or is living with the effects of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, our dedicated staff works hard to deliver high-quality health and wellness services that are compassionate, safe, and resident-centered. Our services are designed to meet our residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

As a resident moves into Grand Montecito, a comprehensive assessment is completed to create a personalized care plan. Plans are also updated by our caregivers and the medical team as we get to know the new resident better. Our community is staffed by highly trained medical professionals who are hired not only for their professional skills but also for their compassionate and warm personalities.

We utilize the best programming services to ensure that all medications are given to our residents promptly and accurately. Our community also leverages security systems, which helps us closely monitor residents.

Accommodations & Amenities

Our beautiful community features comfortable living accommodations and private rooms. Apartments have Wi-Fi and cable and are roomy but never overwhelming. Bathrooms are all ADA-compliant, with safety features throughout. In addition, we have a spacious dining room, comfortable common areas, and a courtyard where residents enjoy relaxing and being with nature.

One of the most popular features of our community is the food. Our chef prepares meals that are delicious and dietician-approved. Residents enjoy a variety of homestyle dishes such as pot roasts, pasta, and chicken dinners. Friday is pizza night, served with non-alcoholic drinks, and we also have well-attended traditional holiday dinners throughout the year.
