Memory Care Community in Burlington, WA
HomePlace Special Care at Burlington is a stand-alone memory care community with spacious rooms with various rooms having private bathrooms and some having private showers. Each neighborhood has their own kitchenette kitchen and dining room, as well as a living area for them to enjoy which leads out to our beautiful courtyard.
One of the highlights of our community is our restaurant-quality meals. Our On-Site Executive Chef prepares a wide variety of meals. Some resident favorites are fish on Fridays and homemade bread and soups.
Our community offers residents a variety of social activities, programs, outings, and community initiatives. Residents also enjoy arts & crafts, bingo, baking, car shows, coloring day, happy hour, and more.
We recently had a celebration for national hotdog day. Residents volunteered to prepare plates and serve other residents.
Wendy has been with HomePlace Burlington as the Executive Director since February 2021 but has been in senior living for over 9 years. Her financial background has been instrumental in her success in the senior living field. She has achieved her HCA certificate, CPR/First Aid Instructor, and an Instructor for Dementia and Mental Health. She has a passion of providing quality care for her residents, as well as appreciation and support for all staff members. She enjoys country living, raising her chickens on Whidbey Island, and kayaking on the sound.Contact Wendy
