HomePlace Special Care at Burlington is a premier Memory Care and Assisted Living community in Burlington, WA, that serves Bellingham, Burlington, Mount Vernon, Sedro Woolley, Everett, and the surrounding regions with compassionate and quality care.

Whether your loved one requires some help with the activities of daily living (ADLs) or is living with the effects of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, our dedicated staff takes great pride in delivering high-quality care that is compassionate, safe, and resident-centered. Our services are designed to meet our residents’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We offer enriching activities, exciting social programs, wellness classes, restaurant-quality meals, and more.

HomePlace Special Care at Burlington features kitchenette kitchens and dining rooms as well as a living area, which leads out to our beautiful courtyard.

Our staff includes an experienced Medical Director, a licensed LPN, RN, Certified caregivers, and Med Techs. We develop individual care plans to understand the needs of the resident. Our medical experts provide the highest quality of care and comfort for the residents in our community.

HomePlace Special Care at Burlington is a Memory Care and Assisted Living community with spacious rooms with various rooms having private bathrooms and some having private showers. Each has its own kitchenette kitchen and dining room, as well as a living area for them to enjoy which leads out to our beautiful courtyard.

One of the highlights of our community is our restaurant-quality meals. Our On-Site Executive Chef prepares a wide variety of meals. Some resident favorites are fish on Fridays and homemade bread and soups.

Our community offers residents a variety of social activities, programs, outings, and community initiatives. Residents also enjoy arts & crafts, bingo, baking, car shows, coloring day, happy hour, and more.

We recently had a celebration for national hotdog day. Residents volunteered to prepare plates and serve other residents.

SPARK was inspired by the teachings and research of Maria Montessori and Dr. Cameron Camp and provides meaningful and life-enhancing experiences for members of our Memory Care and Assisted Living communities.

Our unique program engages our residents with proven strategies that strive to heighten interaction, optimize cognitive skills as well as promote a sense of purpose and accomplishment. We use tailor-fit assessment tools to evaluate each resident’s capabilities and strengths, so the program can best meet their specific needs. Residents are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities based on their interests and abilities.

From arts and crafts, baking and cooking classes, bingo, Book Club, car shows, card writing activities, coloring day, group exercise classes, happy hours, holiday celebrations, ice cream socials, lunch outings, music therapy, painting day, pet therapy, puzzle night, and more, SPARK has something for everyone to enjoy!

Harold has been part of the Frontier family since November of 2016. He started at Home Place as a Maintenance Director. He has always had a passion for helping others. He has one son and is a very proud father. When he is not working you will find him on his motorcycle or on a golf course.
