About HomePlace Special Care at Oak Harbor

Levels of Care: Memory Care

Welcome to The HomePlace Special Care at Oak Harbor!

The HomePlace Special Care at Oak Harbor is a premier Memory Care community in the Island County area that serves Whidbey Island, WA.

The area offers residents and visitors top attractions for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, and history buffs. For unmatched natural beauty visit Deception Pass State Park, South Whidbey Island, or tour the San Juan Islands by plane. Stop at local wineries for a picturesque lunch. Tour the historic lighthouses and the Pacific Northwest Naval Air museum for a bit of history. There’s a lot to do and see in Oak Harbor and surrounding areas.

At HomePlace Special Care at Oak Harbor, we take great pride in the reputation that our team has earned for delivering highly personalized, compassionate Memory Care services designed to meet our residents’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We have created a safe and secure home-like atmosphere where residents thrive.

Before a resident moves into our property, customized assessments are completed so individual care plans can be created. These care plans are updated routinely or when a health condition arises. In addition to the Medical Director, our community is staffed by highly trained LPN’s and HCA’s who are hired not only for their professional skills but also for their compassionate and warm personalities.

Memory Care Community in Oak Harbor, WA

Our property features comfortable living and dining accommodations, a beautiful courtyard with a central gazebo, and flat walking areas. Upon moving into the community, pick the style of room that best suits resident’s needs. Outside areas are beautifully landscaped. Activity rooms and living spaces are tastefully designed and set up to encourage conversation.

At Oak Harbor meal times are important. Gathering around the table is one of our most popular daily happenings. The dining room is located in the center of the main common area for easy access. Our Executive Chef creates memorable meals three times a day, serving new and old favorites. Sit down to a beautifully prepared meal, join friends and family for a lively dining experience. Our Chef and kitchen staff prepare homestyle cooking and accommodate vegetarian diets and other healthy eating choices.

One gorgeous fall day residents picked apples. Their harvest was used to make apple pies that residents also helped make.
