About HomePlace Special Care at Oak Harbor

HomePlace is a stand-alone Memory Care designed to provide exceptional person-centered holistic care to residents with cognitive impairment.

Located in the heart of Island County, our community is a short drive from historical downtown Oak Harbor, the local beachfront, and famous campgrounds. Whether your loved one is moving in from Oak Harbor, Coupeville, Greenbank, or anywhere else, your loved one will feel right at home at HomePlace.

Residents say they love the courtyard with fresh berries and vegetables growing, the nearby ocean smell, and of course the loving, playful staff. Together, we form a community that residents feel comfortable, appreciated, and dignified.

We understand a memory-illness diagnosis is trying on a family and their loved one. That’s why ensuring every aspect of our professional care team eases the tension associated with Alzheimer’s and Dementia will always be our top priority. We want your loved one to feel safe and happy, and we want your family to relax knowing they are taken care of.

Our award-winning SPARK activity program is the engine that drives resident care and engagement within the community. This program’s four pillars are Community Contribution, Inclusion & Belonging, Lifelong Learning, and Purpose.

Your loved one will experience SPARK for themselves when they attend a monthly town hall meeting, engage in a procedural learning exercise, or simply enjoy a social happy hour.

We believe your loved one’s experience in a memory care community should be enjoyable and purposeful. Schedule a consultation with a HomePlace representative today to see the community’s magic yourself!
