About 45 miles west of Atlanta, you’ll find the beautiful, farming town of Carrollton, Georgia. Known for its abundance of parks, including Longview Park, Knox Park, and Castle Playground, Carrollton also boasts the Carrollton Greenbelt which is the largest paved loop in the state of Georgia with 18 miles of scenic walking and biking trails.

Laurel Glen at Carrollton provides the finest Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services in the area. Whether your loved one requires some help with activities of daily living (ADLs) or is living with the effects of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, our dedicated staff takes great pride in delivering high-quality care that is compassionate, safe, and resident-centered. Our services are designed to meet our residents’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

At Laurel Glen, our mission is to provide a feeling of nostalgia and comfort for our residents. We develop individual care plans for our residents through consultations with family members, medical professionals, and of course, our amazing residents, themselves. To ensure our residents are given the proper care, we review our evaluations every three to six months and provide routine check-ins.

Our staff is a dedicated and highly trained team. We have licensed caregivers and nurses on staff, LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs.  Our Executive Director has a Georgia Assisted Living Administrators License, you can rest assured knowing that your loved one is safe with us.

Gathering around the table for meals is important in our community. Our highly experienced chef creates three delicious meals a day and offers menu-style options. Additionally, we can accommodate several dietary considerations like vegetarian, no sugar, kosher, vegan, or low/no sodium for specific health-related, religious, or personal needs.

SPARK was inspired by the teachings and research of Maria Montessori and Dr. Cameron Camp and provides meaningful and life-enhancing experiences for members of our Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care Communities.

Our unique program engages our residents with proven strategies that strive to heighten interaction, optimize cognitive skills as well as promote a sense of purpose and accomplishment. We use tailor-fit assessment tools to evaluate each resident’s capabilities and strengths, so the program can best meet their specific needs. Residents are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities based on their interests and abilities.

From arts and crafts, karaoke, wine tasting, live musical performances, stretching classes, brain fitness, trivia games, light therapy programs, sensory-based programs, BBQs, dances, cooking classes, happy hours, yoga classes, gardening club, Wii bowling, birthday parties, Holiday parties, and more! SPARK has something for everyone to enjoy!

Transportation is available to residents for appointments, doctor visits, and other needs.

Our residents’ families and friends are always welcome. We invite family members to all of our larger events, Holiday dinners, and other celebrations. Communication is important for families, staff, and residents. We often have close relationships with residents’ families and communicate frequently in a variety of ways. Families are encouraged to take loved ones out and should plan with staff.

Danielle Jeffries

Executive Director

For the past 25 years Danielle Jeffries was the Manager of the Carrollton Senior Center where she and her staff provided activities, classes, meals, education and resources to senior adults in the community. Danielle has a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a Master’s Degree in Gerontology and is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional and Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. She is actively involved in the Alzheimer’s Group of County, West Georgia Council on Aging and Georgia Recreation and Park Association. Danielle and her husband, Erik, have 4 sons and they love spending time with them and their family and friends, camping, bike riding, swimming and bowling.
