 Frontier’s Award-Winning SPARK™ Program

The friendly and compassionate staff at The Auberge at Cedar Park are proud to offer our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents the award-winning SPARK program.

SPARK was inspired by the teachings and research of Maria Montessori and Dr. Cameron Camp and provides meaningful and life-enhancing experiences for members of our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities.

Our unique program engages our residents with proven strategies that strive to heighten interaction, optimize cognitive skills as well as promote a sense of purpose and accomplishment. We use tailor-fit assessment tools to evaluate each resident’s capabilities and strengths, so the program can best meet their specific needs. Residents are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities based on their interests and abilities.

From arts and crafts, bingo, bowling, carnivals, coloring day, cooking classes, crazy hat day, dress up day, group exercise classes, happy hours, holiday celebrations, ice cream socials, mass services, music therapy, musical performances, national food day celebrations, pet therapy, pizza parties, resident council, root beer float parties, resident birthday parties, tea parties, and more! SPARK has something for everyone to enjoy!

Through our SPARK program, our resident band, the Tex Hughes & the Main Street Band, engages in weekly musicals, singing, and playing instruments with entertainment that is fun for everyone! Some of our amazing ladies in our community have also created beautiful flower arrangements in their Flower Club, which takes place every week!

Transportation is available to residents for appointments, doctor visits, and other needs. Communication is also important for families, staff, and residents. We often have close relationships with residents’ families and communicate frequently in a variety of ways. Families are encouraged to take loved ones out and should plan with staff.

Christina Rios

Executive Director

Christina started her Memory Care journey over 8 years ago as a Sales and Marketing Director and was very passionate about assisting families while they navigated the challenging road of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. When she first became an Administrator for Memory Care, she knew what was important to families and wanted to offer a sense of comfort to both families and residents when the need for higher care arose. Christina utilizes her Dementia Practitioner certification to teach and train staff on the Dementia process and how to understand and work with residents who are challenged with verbalizing their needs. She also strives to educate families on how to live in the moment and be present with their loved one no matter where they are on their journey. Christina believes it is important to give her residents purpose and a sense of value so that they feel empowered, connected, and as dignified as possible throughout their stay at Auberge Cedar Park. She feels it is an incredible responsibility and honor to care for and provide quality of life for the seniors she serves.
